Women: Marriage isn’t a Trophy, Stop Bragging!!

Happy Valentine’s Day,  everyone!

Does your marriage still count if you don’t post about it on Facebook? 😂

Sometimes I feel like married women look down on single women, and it bothers me.

I’m not married because I placed well on an aptitude test.

I’m married because I’m LUCKY.

I’m LUCKY I found someone so great in college.

I’m LUCKY I found someone who puts up with me.

I’m LUCKY I found someone who has a great sense of humor.

I’m LUCKY I found someone who takes me out on dates, but also dries my tears at funerals.

Marriage is not a trophy to wave in other people’s faces. As a woman, I am not worth more just because I’m married.

Growing up in the south, you’d think marriage was some sort of race. It’s not. I never even thought I would get married until I met Jake.

So if you’re married – count your blessings. I sure do. I’m lucky!
